The Merchant's Prologue and Tale is one of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. In it Chaucer subtly mocks antifeminist literature like that of Theophrastus ('Theofraste'). Though several of the tales are sexually explicit by modern standards, this one is especially so.
